Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Nick Moody, also known as Nick Museler in the real world.
I paint large-scale, (semi-)photorealistic murals using mostly spray paint.
While covering a variety of topics and subjects, I do follow a theme of travel, adventure, and the great outdoors whenever possible.
Through my twenties I backpacked, lived, and worked in many countries – Something that shaped me as a person and now influences my art more than anything.
People, places, and wildlife are core elements of most of my artworks.
How did you become an artist?
I’ve been a creative person all my life. But it wasn’t always so clear as to where I would go with that.
Through my years of travelling I worked many jobs in many industries around the world. I learned a lot during that time, including what I didn’t want to do with my life.
I realized I needed to take the leap, fully focus on making art, and turn this burning passion into a career.
My university degree as a Design & Project Manager sure helped along the way.
In 2021 I became a full-time artist and in doing so, doors slowly started to open up for me.
I realized that fortune actually favoured the bold.
What are you up to at the moment?
As usual I’m trying to find a good balance between working on personal projects and painting commissions. Ideally I can combine both of them.
While my commissioned work oftentimes is being painted in public, my personal work is painted either on canvas or private walls.
Recently, me and some other artists have been creating pieces in a former fabric factory. With permission by the owner, we’re slowly turning this abandoned place into something that feels like a street art gallery.
Along with starting my art business I began making videos and documenting the process on YouTube.
It’s amazing to be able to build a small community around your craft and I’m very thankful for each and every one of my subscribers.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I’ve seen some amazing places on this planet and I have a pretty clear vision of where I’m headed in life.
For many years now it’s been my dream to move to British Columbia, Canada, build a house in the mountains, and continue painting murals in North America – Especially the Pacific Northwest.
Will it happen? Who knows. But not trying I would regret forever.
You know, fortune favours the bold.
